Lidia joins from a leading Panamanian law firm and specialises in advising upon the establishment and implementation of corporate and fiduciary vehicles for transactional, succession and estate planning purposes. Hatstone Lawyers are delighted to announce that Nigel Bentley has joined the firm as a consultant. Nigel joins a number of his former colleagues at Hatstone Lawyers, Jersey’s leading boutique legal practice, which now has twenty-one qualified lawyers in its offices in Jersey, Panama and South Africa.
Nigel is a highly experienced trust and private client practitioner having been a partner of Jersey based English Solicitors Galsworthy & Stones from 1984 until his retirement from partnership in 2013. For nine years Nigel was managing director of Rathbone Trust Company Jersey Limited and its successor business Hawksford, having led the management buy out of that business from Rathbone Brothers Plc in 2007.

The Channel Islands Stock Exchange LBG (“CISX”) announced on 14 October 2013 that it will not process new listing applications, until it has finalised its restructuring. The extent of the proposed restructuring is not yet known, but it is not anticipated at this stage that the restructure will have any adverse impact on the international recognition presently enjoyed by the CISX. Hannes was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa in 2004. He has over nine years’ experience in both Jersey and South Africa and he has been instrumental in the establishment and growth of Hatstone Lawyers in South Africa.
