Declan primarily focuses on real estate for private and commercial clients, acting for a range of property developers, housing and government bodies and various financial institutions. He also has experience in debt resolution and restructuring work, in addition to, mixed retail, commercial and residential projects.
Declan has extensive experience in the purchasing, selling and financing of residential, commercial, development and agricultural property. He regularly represents developers in the purchase, construction and ultimate disposal of newly-built residential and commercial units.
Declan has also broad experience in Wills, Probate, Administration of Estates and advising in relation to trusts, a compliment to his real estate expertise.
Declan is a seasoned real estate lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of real estate. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland since 1995.
In 1997, Declan set up his own practice in Dublin and later formed a partnership, Brooks & Lee Solicitors. In 2014, Brooks & Lee incorporated into Oliver Shanley & Company before Declan decided to join Tully Rinckey’s real estate team in August 2019, as a real estate partner.
Declan graduated from University College Dublin with a BCL honours degree in Law.
Declan competes in equestrian sports including show jumping and eventing. He also trains local underage Gaelic football teams and enjoys watching Gaelic football, hurling and rugby; all games he played in the past.
