Declan Brooks is Head of the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at Hatstone (Ireland) LLP. He has considerable experience advising on a wide range of commercial disputes and has acted on behalf of most financial services providers in Ireland including AIB, Bank of Ireland, KBC and a number of alternative lenders.

He leads a team that advises a number of financial institutions, alternative funders, private equity funds and credit servicing firms in relation to the enforcement of security, recovery of assets and debt recovery. Declan has 25 years of experience in debt recovery, commercial litigation, insolvency, corporate recovery/restructuring and bankruptcy. His expertise is crucial to the many judgment calls required at key stages in the debt recovery and enforcement process. He also advises officially appointed receivers on a number of matters, including the validity of their appointment and the ultimate asset disposal.

Declan graduated from University College Dublin with a BCL honours degree in Law.  He holds a Diploma in Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland and is a member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
