Sonia has over 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, including spending 4 years at a top-four accountancy practice, before setting up her own practice focusing on property and tax. She is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, and the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.

She holds both a Bachelor of Civil Law and Master of Laws (European Law) degrees from University College Dublin. She is also a Chartered Tax Advisor.

Sonia has developed a unique boutique firm in Ireland specialising in laws as they relate to multi-unit developments, projected to continue to be a significant growth sector. Sonia also works extensively with the SME sector, providing corporate law and governance advice to members. Sonia is regularly consulted by other legal firms, including from the top 5 firms in Ireland. Clients include large developers, property investors, indigenous manufacturing businesses and over 200 Owners’ Management Companies.

Since 2012 Sonia has also been a member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland, the governing body for the solicitors’ profession. She was also appointed Chair of Cavan County Council Audit Committee in 2019.
