Alex has extensive experience advising on all aspects of Jersey corporate and banking transactions, with a particular focus on real estate backed financings. He has also been regularly instructed as Jersey transaction counsel in relation to securitisations, sukuk issuances and other structured finance transactions and on a wide range of corporate finance transactions for both public and private companies, including placings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals with cross-border elements.
Alex also regularly advises on private client matters, in particular assisting trustees in the discharge of their duties.
Alex qualified as an English Solicitor in 2000 and worked in the corporate department of Eversheds before moving to Jersey in 2003 to join Bedell Cristin. He was with Bedells for eight years advising on a range of securitisation, structured finance, banking and corporate matters, and was sworn in as a Jersey Advocate in 2008, as which he continues in practice.
Prior to joining Hatstone he was a partner for a number of years at Walkers, based in its Jersey office.
Alex speaks English and has a basic knowledge of French.
In his spare time Alex enjoys fishing, rugby, cooking and reading.
